It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week.  It's a great post to organise yourself. It's an opportunity to visit and comment, and er... add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye's Blog   and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date. And here we are!

With only two more days left of the school year my son is home sick. My husband is recovering from food poisoning from a recent business trip to India...thankfully, I'm fit and well!
I've gone back to finish, or at least finish the first draft of my NaNoWriMo 2016 project, so writing has taken up a lot of time this past week. However, I managed to read the following books:

Today I am reading: Three Weeks with a Princess by Vanessa Kelly

In Vanessa Kelly s captivating series, three young women are descended from royalty in the most improper way. But that doesn’t stop them from pursuing lives rich in adventure...

Lia Kincaid, illegitimate daughter of the Duke of York, comes from a long line of notorious women. Raised by her grandmother, formerly mistress to the late Marquess of Lendale, she has little hope of a respectable marriage. But the new Marquess, her childhood friend, Jack Easton, would make a very desirable protector... if he weren't too honorable to take her to bed.

It.s bad enough being saddled with a title he never desired. Now Jack must resist the beautiful woman he desires far too much. Duty calls, and he is duty-bound to choose a wealthy bride. But then Lia makes another outrageous suggestion: asking Jack to devise some tests to find her the perfect paramour. Tests that involve flirting, kissing, and other pleasurable pursuits. Tests that, in a matter of weeks, could transform friendship into the tons greatest scandal, igniting a passion even duty can't deny...

Thoughts so far: In the past, I've tended to read Historical Romances as palate cleansers when there is nothing from my vast TBR that I want to read and I want a pause from arc's. Nowadays, I'm choosing to read them more and more and this one is an arc for an upcoming book tour. The novel releases on 27th June. I'm only at 7% on my Kindle and already totally invested in the narrative. The author is new to me, and I'm happy she has managed to engage me at such an early stage. The setting is in Yorkshire, an area of England I where I grew up. It's a pleasant surprise and a fact I wasn't aware of before I began reading. Now I'm eagerly wanting to get my daily chores out of the way so I can pick up and carry on from where I finished last night. My review of this novel will be posted here on Wednesday 21st June.

What's next? Heartbreaker by Belinda Williams & The Ruin of a Rake by Cat Sebastian
