About Thirty Nights:

Thirty nights. Two hearts. One fate.

American Beauty, Book 1

After her parents’ tragic deaths, Elisa Snow wanted nothing more than to escape her past. Eighteen and alone, she fled her quaint English village and moved to the United States. A starving science student by day and an artist’s muse by night, Elisa has slowly built a new life. She never dreamed she would lose everything again.

She’s one week from graduation when her visa is unexpectedly denied. Given thirty days to leave the country, she must face the one thing she cannot survive again—saying goodbye and leaving her home. Yet within minutes of her world shattering, she meets a man with the power to piece it back together.

After finishing his tour of duty in Iraq, Aiden Hale traded battlefields for boardrooms, becoming one of the most successful venture capitalists in the nation. But all his wealth can’t buy him reprieve from the horrific memories of war. The only thing that gives him peace is a painting of Elisa.

Drawn together by their invisible wounds, they begin a passionate affair as they race against the clock to defy their pasts—and fight for their future.

Earlier versions of this book were posted on the author’s blog under the titles of The Master’s Muse and 30 Nights of Snow, using the pen name Ani Surnois, and has since been extensively edited.

Reviews (Inkslinger)

Exclusive

The light of his bedroom is muted. No sound but the night and my loud breathing. He

is close, very close. I smell sandalwood. Cinnamon. Aiden. I see nothing but him. And he

has turned part beast, part man. The molten blue of his eyes stirs, melts, whirlpools, freezes and revives all over again, in some inner battle.

He caresses my cheek with the backs of his fingers, along my jawline, until he reaches

my lips. He traces my lower lip with his thumb and the edge of his nail scrapes my skin

lightly, back and forth, back and forth. My eyes close, my head lolls to the side.

Then, both his hands frame my face.

“Open your eyes,” he whispers. I do, but my eyelids are heavy.

“Elisa, have you done this before?” His voice is low, almost part of the night. I can only

shake my head.

“La virgen,” he mouths. “Are you sure you want this?”

This, yes. What’s coming later, no. I nod. Apparently the powers of speech have deserted

His lips hover over mine. I feel his hot breath on my mouth.

“I should stop you, but I won’t. Because every day, every hour—awake or asleep —since

I saw your first painting, you have haunted me.” His voice is on a tight leash, and the fire in his eyes rages brighter. One of his hands leaves my face and splays at the small of my back. He presses me against his body. Hardened, coiled. For me. He brings his mouth to my ear.

“I think it’s time I haunt you back.”

Advance Praise:

“. . . [R]efreshing to discover a strong female protagonist, unwilling to compromise her morals and integrity for anyone, even her true love. . . I will be waiting patiently and excitedly for Book 2.”

“…Outstanding! Second to none! I consider myself very lucky to have found your story. I am so there for [sequel]!”

“I could pick out your writing anywhere, anytime and any place because you write like no other! Your style is incredibly unique and creative and rarely matched in this arena. I have several favorite authors, all incredibly talented, of which you are one. Your style certainly sets you apart.”

“. . . a must-read so good, that it is dangerous. . .”

“… This story is rich, pure, and a complete work of art on its own. . .”

“I want to read whatever you write forever. I couldn't put this down, but found myself slowing my pace to make it last longer, knowing it was soon coming to an end. I love [what] you've done with your characters, who they are, who they'll be. I would buy 100 advance copies of your book if it meant I wouldn't have to wait to read part 2!”

“I have felt a strong connection with this story from the very start, and it has been a one-of-a-kind experience watching it grow into the phenomenon that it is today. Thank you so much for this incredible ride. . . One day when your book becomes an international bestseller, I will look back and fondly remember that I was there when it all began :-)”

“. . . You have given me and many others a voice. . .”

“What you have created here is nothing short of brilliance! Seriously, there is none other like it... You cover subjects like PTSD and Immigration realistically and with sensitivity, dignity and respect... is absolutely brilliant!”

“I am a loyal reader, waking every Sunday to check for my [Thirty Nights] update, then proceeding to sit on the patio with my coffee and read (my Sunday ritual). . . Now that we are at the end of book 1 my only thoughts for you would be please don't make us wait to long to find out where these characters journey is going because [I] think it will kill me!”

Book Spotlight: Fatal Beauty by Nazarea Andrews

Charlotte was a good girl.

Sweet and innocent, a debutante with her Daddy’s credit card and a fiancĂ©e who doted on her.

She was destined for a perfect picture life in Charleston.

Until everything goes wrong.

EJ grew up with everything she could ever want, and bored as hell.

Nothing surprises her and nothing ever changes, and she wants out—whatever it takes.

Getting involved with Anthony Jacobs is probably the worst idea she’s ever had—and that makes it irresistible.

Until Charlie needs her.

New Orleans. Memphis. Vegas.

Beautiful girls who know just how to get exactly what they want.

It’s all fun and games, sexy nights and wild parties.

But you can only manipulate your way out of so much, and the body count is rising. When their past catches up, not even a pretty smile will get them out of trouble this time.

Just—be careful. Now isnt the time to start being stupid.
Theres a long pause, and then, quietly, Are you scared of him?
Yes,” she answers without hesitation, and Charlie inhales sharply. She twists, and smirks at her friend. Why does that surprise you?
Becauseyou. Him.She flounders, Why the hell would you fuck him if youre scared of him?
So many reasons. For a second, all of it is on the tip of her tongue, and she wants to tell Charlie everything that is the history between her and Jacobs.
Instead she shoves down the urge and grins at her friend. Shrugs. You fucked him. Hes a-fucking-mazing in bed. Thats reason enough, isnt it?She nudges Charlie with one toe. Come on. Admit it.
A flush colors her cheeks, and Charlie nods. Yeah. He was amazing. I havent come that hard in years.
Tre didnt do it for you?
Charlie shrugs one shoulder. He was fucking other women. A couple paralegals at the firm. Hard to get into shit when you know hes been cheating. She breaks off, and her eyes widen.
Dont,” EJ says. “Jacobs is the one who fucked up. We arent togetherbut he knows how I feel about him fucking with my friends. Im not pissed at you. So dont, ok? Lets just forget it and enjoy tonight.
Charlie nods slowly, and EJ leans over the bar, grabbing a bottle of vodka and pouring some into her almost empty glass.
And that, my gorgeous girl, means were going to get fucking wasted,EJ lifts a glass and grins.
Charlie smirks, and raises her glass to clink them together. Sounds perfect.

Spotlight with Excerpt: Written In Ink by Carrie Ann Ryan

A Brand New Full Length Novel in the Bestselling Montgomery Ink Series where the quiet, inked Montgomery finds his match in the woman with a fiery passion and a past full of secrets.

There’s nothing worse for a writer than missing a deadline. For Griffin Montgomery, his failure to do what he loves comes at a blow. He didn’t understand how it was affecting his life until his well-meaning family intercedes. His sisters have hired him a new personal assistant and he’s outraged—that is, until he sees who it is.
Autumn Minor is light on her feet and a bare memory for most people she meets. She does her best to blend in everywhere she lives, even if it’s only for a short period of time. Making sure no one truly notices her is the only way she’s survived this long. Only when she meets Griffin and the rest of the Montgomerys, she’s afraid she won’t be able to let go when its time to run.
Though the two begin a tentative but explosive relationship, they know it can’t last forever. Neither of them are made for the long haul when it comes to love and romance. When the demons from Autumn’s past find her and put both their lives at risk, Griffin will stop at nothing to protect her. In the end, though, he’ll be the one who needs a second chance.

Damn those Montgomerys.
She took a deep breath then turned toward Maya’s station, just about swallowing her tongue as she did.
Griffin sat facing the back of the chair, his thick thighs spread so he could straddle the damn thing. He had his arms folded in front of his face, though he didn’t lean on them. Instead, he turned his head to look over his shoulder at Maya as they talked about placement or whatever.
Autumn would not have an orgasm from the sight of him alone. She would not.
She pressed her thighs together and cursed the day Griffin Montgomery had been born.
She wasn’t sure what Maya would be doing to Griffin’s shoulder and back that day, and she wasn’t sure she had the energy to stay there and watch. She had to keep whatever…this was to herself. There was no use lusting after a man she worked for—a man she’d eventually leave when it became too dangerous to stay.

New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Carrie Ann Ryan never thought she’d be a writer. Not really. No, she loved math and science and even went on to graduate school in chemistry. Yes, she read as a kid and devoured teen fiction and Harry Potter, but it wasn’t until someone handed her a romance book in her late teens that she realized that there was something out there just for her. When another author suggested she use the voices in her head for good and not evil, The Redwood Pack and all her other stories were born.

Carrie Ann is a bestselling author of over twenty novels and novellas and has so much more on her mind (and on her spreadsheets *grins*) that she isn’t planning on giving up her dream anytime soon.
