Beltane Bliss (Pagan Pleasures Book 1) by Lilliana Rose
Edi
Court is training to be a modern-day white witch, her unique ability
is healing. Emotionally wounded from her ex, Anto, she has run away

Can Edi stop herself from rescuing another man and landing in deep water? Or with the Beltane energies thick in the air, can this be the start of a new relationship between two wounded souls?
Volt must become a believer in the Magiks and allow his heart to heal. And Edi must learn to trust herself again.
Will a non-believer and a believer find love over Beltane?

Volt is about to
help Edi paint the walls in the shop she’s hired out. He doesn’t
know her well but there’s a clear attraction to her, even though
she believes in things which he’s shut his heart from.
His inner
handyman took over and he noticed the flooring was new. “You got
something to protect the floor? You should’ve painted first.”
“I know, but
the flooring people could only do the job yesterday, and today
luckily, I’ve got you to help. In the other bag. I can’t get the
paint tin open.”
“You think
you’re lucky to have me.” He winked.
“I do. Now help
me get this lid off.”
He stepped
closer. There was something he wanted to take off, her clothes. He
could feel the heat intensify in him. She looked him squarely in the
eyes. A little defiance there, a challenge perhaps, and fuck he loved
it. It took all his self-control not to slip his hands around her
waist and pull her to him.
“Good to know
you’re not taking advantage of me.” He kept looking into her
eyes, they were blue and seemed to hold more than a lifetime in them,
a shadow of hurt there too for someone so youthful. But there was
also heat and lust reflecting back at him. “Though, I might be all
right if you were.”
Her pupils
dilated at his comment. Her body betraying a more profound need.
“Well, I might
just do that if you hang around long enough.”
His breath
caught. She took his banter and gave it back, and it was making his
body stir. He quite liked that trait of hers. “Then I’m never
leaving.”
“Not even if I
keep burning incense?”
“Nope, that’s
not going to send me away. Besides, you’re trying to get rid of bad
energy, right? And I’m not bad. Unless you want me to be.”
“Oh…” She
breathed out. Edi’s face flushed as he stood there facing her. He
was so close he could reach out and touch her. It was as if sparks
were flying between them. It felt damn good and he wanted more. And
for it not to stop any time soon.
Locked looking
into her eyes, he felt himself leaning forward. Volt wanted to taste
her, feel her, just a little. A bit of an entrée to see if he wanted
more, though he already knew he wanted all of her. It was as if they
were already melding together somehow. Volt couldn’t explain it. He
didn’t care. The desires controlled him and he responded. Moving
closer to touch her lips with his own, he could feel her reaching
toward him. Then her breath on his lips.
