Release Day Spotlight & Review: Brett:Bad Boys After Dark by Melissa Foster

Bad Billionaires After Dark
Melissa Foster
Release- March 21, 2018

Everything’s naughtier after dark…
Billionaire security expert Brett Bad has had his eye on his brother’s gorgeous legal assistant, Sophie Roberts, for years. He wants nothing more from her than a single night between the sheets to satisfy his desires. But Sophie is a white-picket-fence girl, and she’s turned him down more times than he cares to count.

Sophie is all about forever kisses and happily ever afters. But she can’t deny her attraction to Brett, as enticed by his bad-boy behavior as she is by his devastating looks and his painful past, which she’d like to help heal.

When Sophie’s friend urges her to throw caution to the wind, Sophie leaves the door to her heart ajar—and Brett charges in. But this Bad boy doesn’t know a thing about romance and has no interest in forever, forcing Sophie to make her toughest decision yet—follow her heart or protect it?

The final Bad boy is here and as Brett meets his match and makes peace with events from the past as he falls for Sophie Roberts, a woman who has rejected him so many times he's lost count.

Since the joint wedding of two of his brothers, Brett Bad has been restless and he doesn't like it. There was a time he'd hook-up with any woman but now he only wants the one who constantly rejects his propositions, Sophie Roberts. Despite her body language telling him, she's interested, much to his frustration she won't back down. When they both attend the same social event, he manages to persuade her friend in coaxing the three of them to go for a drink. His plans works, but not as he intended as he falls head first into a world his brothers have fallen into before and he's powerless to stop.

Sophie Roberts is the woman who has been on Brett Bad's radar for a long time. She works for his brother Mick, so their paths cross often. Despite her attraction for her boss's brother, she's constantly rejected his propositions over the years because she wants more, not less from him. That's until temptation is just too great.

Despite his notorious womanising reputation, this charming man is burdened with memories from the past, shaping the man he is now. You feel his apprehension as his feelings take over and struggle to manage his own expectations and those of the woman he's falling for. Melissa manages to capture Brett's awkwardness as he navigates the uncharted waters called a relationship. For a normally self-assured, successful man he finally finds the courage to open his heart to an idea and woman; a happy ever after he never dreamed or thought possible.

Brett and Sophie compliment each other perfectly. The physical attraction has always been there, but Sophie manages to nurture Brett into making him confront his past threatening to blight his future, whilst she maintains her own levels of expectation. With a large crowd of supporting characters urging them on, the ending is satisfying an oh so romantic.

This novel, like all written by Ms Foster, can be read as standalone, but I if you are new to this series, I strongly recommend you also read Brett's brothers' stories too.
