Recipes are punctuated with stories of travel, food inspirations and a personal philosophy of enjoying food unapologetically. Cook it Eat it Live it is about finding happiness in the little things and injecting some joy into every day life through wholesome, exciting meals.

Books with food are a favourite combination of mine, Cook It Eat It Love It is not only filled with delicious recipes but also with helpful tips and delightful articles about where Ms. Kenny found her inspiration.

I've got quite a few cookbooks lurking in a kitchen cupboard but nowadays I tend to look for cooking ideas on the internet. This though isn't purely a collection of delicious recipes; it includes where the author found her inspiration from places she has visited as well as how food has played a large part of her life.

This is a collection of ideas to inspire throughout the year. Included are stews and 'comfort food' style dishes for cold winter evenings along with dishes to try throughout the year using seasonal ingredients. There's even a table for those interested in setting up a kitchen garden so they know when to sow and harvest their own crops. For someone who is looking for new ideas, there's plenty to whet your appetite with.

The practical information is well thought out. Many a time I find something I want to cook or bake only to find the servings that could feed an army when I just want enough to feed my small family. Understandably, it's a huge positive for me, when the author specifically states that all the recipes are designed to scale up or down if necessary. It's little details like this that make me want to try something new.

The photographs to accompany the recipes, thoughts, and anecdotes make the dishes look appealing and appetising. The book itself is easy to navigate and organised.

This book landed when I needed it the most and was looking for new ideas. Therefore, I can see many of Ms. Kenny's meal ideas and sweet treats appearing at my dinner table.
