Publication Day Push and Review: Our Little Secret by Rachael Stewart

Our Little Secret by Rachael Stewart

A little secret sexy fun

Under the Tuscan sun!

It's her best mate’s wedding week – and Faye Davenport is celebrating with a skinny dip under the Tuscan moon. Except she's not alone. The sexy Italian dish is Rafael Perez – her mate’s off-limits older brother. But now it's too late. This illicit, irresistible fire is already out of control.

A wedding in Tuscany, what's not to like?

Faye is in Tuscany to act as a Maid of Honour at her best friend, Dani's wedding. Her job for the week is to ensure all plans run smoothly, especially when the bride's mother and brother are not thrilled about the nuptials. With the knowledge her friend is trying to set her up with her cousin, Faye is sceptical...especially after she meets an Adonis of a man while skinny-dipping…

Rafael Perez wasn't happy when he found out his best friend and his little sister planned to get married. Now two years later, he has accepted the relationship between the two people who mean the world to him and even bought a castle, so his sister has her dream wedding location. After arriving at his new home in Tuscany, he's instantly attracted to an unknown woman swimming naked in his pool by moonlight. He knows he should ignore her blatant attempts to seduce him, but…

Helping to set the scene, several members of the bride and hero's Italian family add drama as the protagonists sneak around to enjoy elicit liaisons during the many pre-wedding festivities. It's fun, frivolous and sexy all rolled into one!

I needed to fan my self while reading Faye and Rafael's story. Their electrically charged attraction leads to swizzling hot and erotic scenes, as the two lovers try to keep their attraction a secret from those around them. It quickly becomes clear that their attraction to each other is more than a holiday fling even though they both plan to go there separate ways after the wedding.

Therefore, the conclusion is more than satisfying with a sentimental twist and it's another five star novel from a favourite author of mine.

Rachael Stewart adores conjuring up stories for the readers of Harlequin Mills & Boon and Deep Desires Press, with tales varying from the heartwarmingly romantic to the wildly erotic.

She's been writing since she could put pen to paper as the stacks of scrawled on A4 sheets in her loft will attest to, and the lovingly bound short stories that her father would run off at work and proudly share out with his colleagues. Thinking it was a pipe dream to be published one day, she pursued a sensible career in business but she was really play-acting, achieving the appropriate degree and spending many years in the corporate world where she never truly belonged. Always happiest when she was sat at her laptop in the quiet hours tapping out a story or two. And so here she is, a published author, her full-time pleasure, a dream come true.

A Welsh lass at heart, she now lives in Yorkshire with her husband and three children, and if she's not glued to her laptop, she's wrapped up in them or enjoying the great outdoors seeking out inspiration.

A Spotlight and Book Review for Mr Right Across The Street by Kathryn Freeman

Mr Right Across The Street by Kathryn Freeman

Mia Abbott’s move to Manchester was supposed to give her time and space from all the disastrous romantic choices she’s made in her past. But then the hot guy who lives opposite – the one who works out every day at exactly 10 a.m., not that Mia has noticed thank-you-very-much – starts leaving notes in his window…for her.

Bar owner Luke Doyle has his own issues to deal with but as he shows Mia the sites of her new city he also shows her what real romance looks like for the first time. And when he cooks up a signature cocktail in her honour, she realises that the man behind the bar is even more enticing than any of his creations. And once she’s had a taste she knows it will never be enough!

A refreshingly fun and humorous novel!

Mia Abbott moves to Manchester to put some space between herself and her ex. A fresh start in a new city is what she needs to focus on her career. However, she's distracted daily at 10 a.m. by a shirtless Mr Hot Guy Opposite when she's supposed to be working. Only, it reminds her that she doesn't know anyone in the city, an aspect of her life she needs to change.

Luke Doyle is now the proud owner of The Bar Beneath after taking over the reins of the place he had called work for the last ten years. With his new role as an employer, his focus is all work and no play, meaning there's less time to socialise. That's until a woman walks into his bar, like a breath of fresh air…

There's lots of banter and moments to make you smile as Mia and Luke get to know each other. With numerous obstacles to navigate, their dates are original and imaginative.

I've read a couple of Ms Freeman's other novels and this one is my favourite so far. The plot-line is adorable yet, Mia and Luke's journey to a happy ending is more than just a meet-cute story. Both have emotional baggage; Luke more than Mia. So, when they finally get-together, it's a satisfying finale for two people made for each other.

If you enjoy romances with protagonists with sizzling chemistry, sit back and prepare to be entertained.

A former pharmacist, I'm now a medical writer who also writes romance. Some days a racing heart is a medical condition, others it's the reaction to a sexy hero.

With a husband who asks every Valentine's Day whether he has to buy a card (yes, he does), any romance is all in my head. Then again, his unstinting support of my career change proves love isn't always about hearts and flowers - and heroes come in many disguises.
