Receiving a marriage proposal is supposed to make a women happy, but when Erica Lane receives a beautiful marriage proposal from her perfect boyfriend on the eve of her annual camping trip with her best friend, Jackson Wild, the first thing she does is jump into bed with Jackson.

Jackson’s all too happy to screw the annoyance out of Erica. After all, they’ve always screwed the hell out of each other when they were bored or angry, lonely, or too damn drunk to see straight.

But the marriage proposal changes everything, and their annual camping trip takes unexpected turns. Will a few nights in the wilderness set these friends with benefits free, or lead them on a path of destruction?

This is what happens when Jackson Wild's best friend Erica (Laney) Lane announces her boyfriend Bryce has proposed? A friends to lovers story with a twist*

*There is a note from the author at the beginning of the book about this.

Jackson Wild works along side his brother Cooper in their highly successful photography studios. Unlike his older brothers, Jackson is a confirmed batchelor, although he's tiring of the endless perks his job brings; parties and a never ending line of beautiful actresses and models.

Jackson wins the prize for not seeing what is right in front of his eyes. Erica “Laney” has been his best friend since high school. Their relationship has always been more than just platonic, something Jackson's family has known since they were caught having sex whilst still at school. For the last nine months Laney has been dating Bryce but is thrown into turmoil when he proposes to her. Can Jackson and Laney give up the intimacy that is an integral part of their relationship and just be friends?

They say love is blind and Jackson and Laney very much fit that statement. Over the years, they've both pursued other relationships whilst still maintaining a healthy if somewhat unorthodox friendship, whilst denying the feelings they have for one another that go way beyond the boundaries of normal. Yet, despite the bombshell that is Bryce's proposal both are conflicted. What is the right course of action, when the road ahead to clear to everyone else except Jackson and Laney.

This is the sexiest story in this series with a captivating plot. I like that Ms Foster has pushed the boundaries with this story, giving a breath of fresh air to a favourite trope. If you haven't already discovered Logan, Heath and Cooper, I strongly recommend to read about them too, as their stories are equally compelling.

COOPER
Wild Boys After Dark #4

Releasing Dec 1st, 2015
World Literary Press

Four years ago at a film festival, Cici Fine met Cooper Wild, a man who turned her world upside down in the span of one deliciously perfect week. He was everything she’d ever dreamed of: sinfully sexy, intelligent, and incredibly loving. When the festival ended, they returned to their own hometowns with promises of forever. But Cooper disappeared, and Cici was left to raise the daughter he never knew about alone.

Cooper is finally thinking straight after years of being lost in grief from the tragedy that killed his father and left his mother blind. Now he’s on a mission to find the woman he left behind—the only woman he’s ever loved.

But Cici Fine is no longer a naive young girl. She’s a savvy businesswoman with big responsibilities, on the cusp of a life-changing move. When fate brings the two together, they’ll put the old adage to the test and find out if love really can conquer all.

Cooper is the youngest Wild brother and you can't help but love him. A successful photographer, he's watched as his older brothers have fallen in love with the women of their dreams. Only, Cooper knows what it is like to fall in love...to be in love…before a tragedy took it away.

Four years ago, Celeste “Cici” Fine had the week of her life whilst attending the Bay City Film Festival. She fell in love with a man that promised her the future of her dreams. However a breakdown in communications resulted in a child not knowing his father and a Mom still in love with the man that still changed her life forever.

Cooper has never forgotten Cici and is determined to find the woman he left behind and never forgot. He wants to right the past after spending four years coming to terms with the violence causing the death of his Father and his dear Mom's blindness. Now he looks at what his older brothers have; It's time to right the past and find Cici again.

There is much sadness but lashings of hope as Cooper and Cici find each other again. The spark is still there and palpable as they take the opportunity to re-connect. A secret is kept, but when it's revealed, I love the mature way the protagonists deal with it. When there could have been much animosity, there is calm recognition. Timing is everything, and this was spot on.

Just like the other novellas in this series, the dialogue is dirtier and the bedroom scenes are hotter, without compromising on the narrative. I love the direction Ms Foster has headed with the Wild brothers and looking forward to more steamier stories in the future.
