A Christmas Novel Spotlight and Review: A Christmas Wedding at the Castle By Eliza J. Scott

A Christmas Wedding At The Castle (Life on the Moors Book 5) by Eliza J. Scott

Do you believe in fate? Livvie Weatherill does…

This time last year, if anyone had told Livvie Weatherill she’d have fallen in love and would be making plans for her Christmas wedding to Zander Gillespie, she would have laughed in their face. If they’d gone on to say they’d be planning to have their wedding at the imposing Danskelfe Castle, she’d have laughed even louder!

But it would seem fate had plans for her…

Since moving to the pretty moorland village of Lytell Stangdale Livvie is happier than she’s ever been. She’s living with Zander and she’s working at her dream job as a wedding dress designer at Romantique with her friends, Kitty and Violet. It’s fair to say, she’s enjoying immersing herself in village life, from romantic walks in the countryside, to meeting friends at the quaint Sunne Inne. And she can’t think of anything better than rounding off the day cosying up with Zander.

Life is sweet.

Her blossoming friendship with Freda Easton, the endearing but reclusive elderly lady who lives down the lane, has taken everyone by surprise. But Freda has a secret and, in a turn of events no one could predict, she finds herself grateful for Livvie’s fierce loyalty, cementing their friendship further.

Just when things seem to be running smoothly, a face from the past arrives on the doorstep casting a shadow over Livvie’s wedding plans. Adding to the drama, an icy blast of Arctic air brings heavy snowfall to the village, covering the moors in a thick blanket of snow.

Is their love strong enough to withstand the challenges thrown at them? Will they get their magical Christmas wedding?

Join Livvie and Zander – and all the usual characters – for a sparkling Christmas full of love and laughter in Lytell Stangdale.

A Wedding and Christmas are a perfect combination! It's even better when we go to Lytell Stangdale to celebrate. If you're not familiar with this little corner of Yorkshire don't despair as this novel is standalone. However, if you're interested in how Livvie and Zander met, read where it all began in "A Christmas Kiss".

Much has happened since Livvie and Zander met a year ago and now they are getting married. The pending marriage brings alive the joys of the preparations and some unfortunate snags along the way. Emotions are high, as disappointments and secrets are exposed. Additionally, someone from the past tries to spoil everything.

I admit it; Zander Gillespie is my favourite character in The Life on the Moors series. He's adorable, but flawed as he and Livvie prepare for their wedding. What happens?… you'll just have to read and discover, as his past comes back to haunt him, causing tensions.

Action-packed, there's plenty going on within the Yorkshire Moors community as familiar faces appear to aid the preparations. Thanks to Zander's faithful Labrador, Alf, his four-legged companion manages to steal many scenes creating humour too. The effect is a cosy, nostalgic reunion with friends within the tightknit community.

Overall, fans will heartily enjoy returning to many recognisable landmarks as another couple find a happily ever after against a stunning Yorkshire backdrop.

Eliza is proud to be a member of the RNA. She lives in a village in the North Yorkshire Moors with her husband, their two daughters and two mischievous black Labradors. When she’s not writing, she can usually be found with her nose in a book/glued to her Kindle or working in her garden, fighting a losing battle against the weeds.

When she's not reading or gardening, Eliza also enjoys bracing walks in the countryside, rounded off by a visit to a teashop where she can indulge in another two of her favourite things: tea and cake.

Her biggest weakness is ginger biscuits dunked in tea.

Eliza is inspired by her beautiful surroundings and loves to write heartwarming romance stories with relatable female characters. She enjoys exploring the dynamics of female friendship, with a key feature of her books being how women pull together and support one another when things get tough.

Eliza's novels will always have happy endings.

Christmas Novel Spotlight and Author Guest Post: Stolen Kiss with her Billionaire Boss by Susan Meier

The Power of Christmas…

When I close my eyes and think about Christmas, I see my parents’ dark living room. In the corner is the biggest tree they could get through the front door and it’s covered with twinkling lights and tinsel that catches that light and spins it around, reflecting it to the ornaments where it sparkles and shines. I can almost smell the baking ham, homemade bread, cookies and pies.

If I blink, I’m older. The tree is mine, the one I decorated with my husband. I’m the one baking the ham, cookies and pies. It’s my kids who are ooohhhing and aaahhhing at the sparkling tree.

If I blink again, I’m in my son’s house. The tree is his, though the whole family has decorated it with ornaments passed down to his wife from her grandparents. His kids are ooohhhing and aaahhhing at the tree, chattering about Santa, eager to go to bed so morning will come sooner.

There is nothing that speaks to the continuity of life the way Christmas does. In STOLEN KISS WITH HER BILLIONAIRE BOSS that’s what breaks Hugo Harrington’s heart. He feels he was betrayed by his family, yet longs to bring them back together when he buys the family’s hotel. The hotel had hosted London’s grandest Christmas Eve celebration and he wants it back. He wants the feeling of being surrounded by family. He wants old wounds healed. Most of all, he wants the misunderstandings and misconceptions to be discussed and cleared up.

He chooses Erin Hunter to help him get the Christmas Eve party details right and she does because she’s the best. But she’s only the best because she has an intuition about people, and she soon realizes the façade of perfection that Hugo presents to the world has a chip. There’s something wrong with this little family. A secret. Some betrayal. And no one wants to talk about it.

Her own past is checkered. Her husband died far too young, but there was a betrayal there too. Something far worse than an affair. He had confided his cancer diagnosis to a female coworker though he never told Erin he was dying, leaving her to feel she wasn’t his partner or even a real friend, and making her a washout as a wife.

She has their son after Josh dies and builds a life for herself, not willing to risk her heart again. But fate has a way of testing a person’s resolve. In Erin’s case, it tempts her with the most untrustworthy man around, a guy who – rumor has it – betrayed his own family: Hugo Harrington. He wants Christmas with all the trimmings, but his brother and sister can’t forgive him for breaking up their family.

Erin doesn’t want to like him – he’s the Grinch in Gucci – but he’s as sexy as a brooding stare or an unexpected first kiss.

And something seems off with the story the tabloids keep repeating.

Christmas past clearly haunts him. He hasn’t celebrated the holiday since “that” night. She should leave him alone. She should do her job and go back to Manhattan when the big party is over.

But Christmas has a way of softening people’s hearts, of building continuity from one generation to another, of reminding us of what’s important.

And this Christmas might just be the one when Hugo Harrington gets his all his wishes. Even a few he didn’t know he had.

This is why I love Christmas and Christmas stories. When I was a kid the world was a bright, shiny place at Christmas time. When I had my own kids, the world became even brighter. If there are miracles to be had they can’t help but pop up when the world is so filled with love.

Stolen Kiss with her Billionaire Boss

Christmas has arrived…

And she’s spending it with her boss!

New Yorker Erin is intrigued when Hugo Harrington asks for her help on a hotel renovation in London, just weeks before Christmas! But Erin soon discovers how personal this project is to her brooding boss. Watching him wrestle with the memories of his past uncovers a side to Hugo she’s never seen. And then a stolen snowbound kiss changes everything…

Publication Day Review: Unwrapping The Best Man by Rachael Stewart

Unwrapping the Best Man by Rachael Stewart

On the first night of Christmas, her sexy crush finally gave to her—an unbelievably hot night! Now she’s ready for nights two, three and four… Unwrap the steamy sequel to Getting Dirty by Rachael Stewart.

I’ve lusted after brawny, gorgeously rough Jackson Black for six lust-fueled, unrequited years. But Jackson has rules, and the big one is “no getting involved with clients” of his elite London sex club. Including me. But our best friends are getting married, and for one deliciously hot night, the maid of honor and best man agree…what happens in the Scottish Highlands, stays in the Scottish Highlands.

It was everything I wanted and more…until the complete jerk disappears during the night.

Now it’s Christmas, and I have a plan to prove to Jackson Black just how much I don’t care, that he doesn’t turn me on like a Christmas tree. Only Operation: Naughty Elf is backfiring big-time. That aching need for his touch is stronger than ever. It’s painfully clear that I want more than just a fling from the untouchable Jackson Black.

I have one chance to unwrap the best man. But is this sexy, guarded grinch about to steal my heart…or break it?

http://mybook.to/unwrappingthebestman

As a sequel to Getting Dirty, Unwrapping the Best Man is a naughty Christmassy novel and standalone.

For those who've met Jackson Black previously, you're in for a treat!

Jackson and Cait have known each other for years as she is a member of his sex club. They've had their eyes on each other all the time but because of Jackson's rule about not getting involved with his clients, it's hands-off… until they play best man and maid of honour at their mutual friends' wedding….Rules are for breaking and Cait wants her man…!

Once again, Ms Stewart had delivered a sexy, fast-paced novel with an enticing plot and seductive characters. However, this is so much more than a hook-up at a summer wedding in the Scottish Highlands.

Cait and Jackson are attracted to each other but he won't cave into his principles… therefore Cait's hopes of finally landing the man she loves are slim, however, that's because there's a deeply personal reason for his strict rule. The reveal is shocking and the emotional fallout is heartbreaking yet the author tackled the issues perfectly.

It's a quick read, so a perfect book to pick up and relax with after putting up the Christmas decorations, accompanied by a favourite drink too!

The happy ending is perfectly sentimental… not quite fitting for a Hallmark film but still… because Santa Claus isn't going to look the same in your eyes ever again ;-)

Rachael Stewart adores conjuring up stories for the readers of Harlequin Mills & Boon and Deep Desires Press, with tales varying from the heartwarmingly romantic to the wildly erotic.

She's been writing since she could put pen to paper as the stacks of scrawled on A4 sheets in her loft will attest to, and the lovingly bound short stories that her father would run off at work and proudly share out with his colleagues. Thinking it was a pipe dream to be published one day, she pursued a sensible career in business but she was really play-acting, achieving the appropriate degree and spending many years in the corporate world where she never truly belonged. Always happiest when she was sat at her laptop in the quiet hours tapping out a story or two. And so here she is, a published author, her full-time pleasure, a dream come true.

A Welsh lass at heart, she now lives in Yorkshire with her husband and three children, and if she's not glued to her laptop, she's wrapped up in them or enjoying the great outdoors seeking out inspiration.

Christmas Novel Spotlight: About Last Night by A.S. Kelly

About Last Night by A.S. Kelly

Allow me to introduce myself.

My name is Tyler Hayes, and I’m a fireman.

Sorry to already disappoint you, but Im not the person you think I am.

My charming uniform and seductive smile have caused nothing but trouble, and my not-so-honourable reputation, which I used to be so proud of, has kept me away from the one person I wanted to spend the rest of my life baking cookies for; my sweet, beautiful, slightly crazy Miss White.

I guess now I need to tell the whole story.

At forty years old, following years of self-sabotage, Ive suddenly found myself admitting that I know absolutely nothing. Maybe my friend Niall was right when he told me to accept the process and just grow up. And now it's too late; Ill never be able to keep her close to me. All thats left to do is watch helplessly but deservedly as my world comes tumbling down around me.
