Book Blogger Hop -11th to 17th May 2018

About the Book Blogger Hop

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer from Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer's permission, I relaunched the meme on February 15, 2013.

Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop's purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

Question: 11th - 17th - Could you ever pick a favorite book or is it like choosing your favorite child? (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver's Reviews)

Answer: I don't have a stand out favourite book as an adult.  I've read so many over the years and whilst there are many to which I'm attached to for whatever reason, there isn't one I view as my all-time number one.

Yet, as a child, the one which brings happy memories is The Silver Sword (Escape from Warsaw) by Ian Serraillier. It was a book we read in our English class aged 12 (yr7) Unlike other books I was forced to read at school, this one was enjoyable and a pleasant memory. Now nearly forty years later, I can still remember the plot, which is testament to the impact it had even though I've only read it once.

  1. That's huge, to have a book impact you so much. Matilda's like that for me.
